Strauss reaches fifty after Bopara falls

England captain Andrew Strauss reached his fifty as the hosts moved on to 95 for two on the second day of the third Ashes test on Friday.

Ravi Bopara was out just after tea for 23, playing a ball from seamer Ben Hilfenhaus on to his stumps.

Strauss was on 57 and Ian Bell on 17.

England earlier bowled out Australia for 263, James Anderson taking five wickets and Graham Onions four.

Shane Watson top-scored for Australia with 62, Simon Katich made 46 and captain Ricky Ponting 38.
